Cahill, £9 19/6 costs £1 14/6; Lindsay Gordon v. W. James, 7/6, costs £10; Blythes Ltd. v. L. Heyward (separate estate), £4 15/-, costs £1 3/6; Mary Grayling v. H. O. Grayling, £l5, costs £2 14/-’ Louise Swanseger v. S. Bayley £7 10/-, costs £1 10/6. On judgment summonses S- Martin was ordered to pay Alice Mcßae £l9 16/-. at the rate of 10/- a week, in default 21 days’ imprisonment; Tom Bush was ordered to pay Grant and Howell £4l 11/5, at the’ rate of 10/- a week, in default 21 days’ imprisonment. DEFENDED ACTION. The sum of £52 19/6 was claimed by W. McKinnon, a racehorse trainer, of Taradale. from E. Maloue, of Makaraka. and H. Denton, sawyer, of Frasertown, Wairoa, being training fees, travelling expeuses and maintenance. Mr. M.' L. Gleeson appeared for the defendant and Mr V. G. Langley for the plaintiff. After hearing evidence, the defence being that Malone was only an agent Of Denton, and not a partner, His Worship held that a partnership had been entered upon and gave judgment for the plaintiff for the full amount with £9 6/- costs.
