UNITY OF CHRISTENDOM
DICUSSION AT LAUSANNE. (Received 17, 9.30 a.m.) Lausanne, Aug. 16. The conference on faith and order discussed the unity of Christendom and the relations of tile churches. Dr. Nathan Soderblom, Archbishop of Upsala, Sweden, recommended aiming at unity in multiplicity. He mentioned that the Swedish Church had a constitutional episcopate. The Bishop of Gloucester, Dr. Headlam, gave a comprehensive and incisive conception of a united church pleading the importance of Christian unity.—(A. and N.Z.)
