The importance of having wellnourished calves for the tnree-day-old veal trade was stressed by Mr G. Lyons (Director of the Live Stock Division of the Department of Agriculture), in discussing the matter with Mr S. Lye, managing director of a company, which is in operation in the Waikato. In addition to the 25 tons of veal despatched last week, another shipment is being prepared, and the industry is growing rapidly.
