COST OF RAT-CATCHING. SYDNEY PROBLEM. (Received 16, 11,50 a.m.) Sydney, Aug. 16. For the year 1926 the rat-catching department of the City Council cost £4723. It constantly employed nine expert catchers, who set 47,090 traps and caught 3800 rats at a cost to the council of 12/6 per head 1 .
