ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.
The annual general meeting of the Society was held last evening, Mr. W. Y. Dennett presiding over a good attendance,
The report and balance-sheet, as published yesterday, were adopted, and Messrs. M. Johnson, T, Styles, and J. D. Donovan were elected to fill the three vacancies on the Board of Directors. Messrs. Rainbow & Hobbs were re-appointed sharehoders’ auditors for the ensuing year. Appropriations amounting to £l5OO were then held, and resulted as follows:—No. 3 Issue, by ballot, £5OO, group No. 86; by sale, £5OO, which was disposed of at £l2 per centum; No. 4 Issue, by ballot, £5OO, group No. 128.
It was unanimously resolved to place on record the high appreciation of tho services rendered to the Society by Mr. W. Y. Dennett, who has been a director since the inception of tho Society twenty-five years ago, and who has occupied tho position of chairman for a considerable number of years.
