WAR RELIEF.
HAWKE ’8 BAY BRANCH. The usual fortnightly meeting of the Hastings Branch Committee of the Hawke’s Bay War Relief Association was held yesterday. Present: Messrs. G. Ebbett (chair), W, Hart, W. J.' White and H. Holderness. Leave of absence was granted to Mr. J. H. Colebourne. Several applications were considered, while seventeen grants, amounting to £69 17/1, and four loans amounting to £39 1/7, were authorised. It was also decided to recommend to the Provincial Executive that three grants, totalling £65 1/9, and one lonn of £2O, be made by the Association.
