Seaplane Scandinavian Tour. AIR MINISTER A PASSENGER. CRUISE OF THE EAST PLANNED (British Official Wireless.) (Received 15, 12.30 p.m,) Rugby, Aug. 13. Sir Samuel Hoare, British Air Minister, travelling in one of the seapalnes which left Felixstowe westerday on a month’s Scandinavian tour, reached Oslo yesterday evening. The flight was made at an average of 100 miles an hour and heavy rain was encountered along the Dutch coast. Sir Samuel Hoare is a guest of the British Minister and Captain Ritser Larsen, of the Royal Nordegian Navy, a well-known Polar explorer, has been attached to him. He intends to visit the Danish Aero Show at Copenhagen, after which he may return home iu a seaplane, leaving the others to complete the tour. After this cruise some of the new British flying boats will be submitted to a more drastic test in tropical conditions. They will be sent on an extended cruise of the East, the prime objective being Singapore.
