London, August 14. “The International Olympic Committee’s decision that players are entitled to indemnity for lost earnings without forfeiting their amateur status jeopardises the whole basis of the Olympic Games,’’ savs “The Observer.” “as it implies the conception of amateurism which is frequently repudiated in Britain and will debar football associations, and possibly other British authorities recognising the Amsterdam meeting.— (Sydney “Sun” cable.)
