SCULLING.
GOODSELL IN TRAINING. Vancouver, Aug. 13Major Goodsell, in a training outing, sculling alone over three miles, defeated a shell rowed by Frank Adams, Pacific Coast champion, and Herb Fullerton, a local star. Forty prominent citizens and sportsmen, aboard a Harbour Commission steamer, witnessed the test.—(A. and N.Z.) SCHOOL BASKETBALL. In a basketball contest between the Mahora School and Waipukurau on Saturday the visitors were successful in both games played- Miss cCormick and Miss Bollard controlled the A game and Mrs G. Robinson and Miss Bollard the B match.
