WHAKATU v. HASTINGS Y.M.C.A. Whakatu and Hastings Y.M.C.A. took the field on Saturday with only nine meu aside, but even at that, the game was a really good one. Gardiner, Henderson, and Laurie notched goals for Whakatu in the first spell, while Henderson got the ball through again twice in the second, Gibn and Cardie scored for Hastings in the second spell, and the game ended o—3 in favour of Whakatu. AUCKLAND DEFEATS WELL. INGTON. Auckland, Aug. 14. In an Association 'football match yesterday. Auckland' defeated Wellington by tfjree goals to one.
