MEADOWS TOURNEY FINAL. (Received 13, 8.55 a.m.) New York, Aug. 12. Tilden defeated Brugnon, 6—2, 6—l, 6—o in the semi-final of the Meadows Club annual invitation tournament at Southampton, New York. George Lott defeated Laeoste 6—4. 6-3 6—l. At Forest Hill, in the first match for the Wighman Cup, Helen Wills defeated Joan Fry, 6—2, 6—o. Experience told, the match lasting only 24 minutes.—(A, and N.Z.) BRITISH NORTHERN PROFESSIONAL. (Received 13, 8.35 a.m.) London, Aug. 12.
