(Own Correspondent.)
I'he ball promoted by the spinsters and bachelors of the district, which was held in the Town Hall on Tuesday night, proved a brilliant success. Visitors were present from all parts of the district. The decorations scheme was in purple and apricot. The com mittee spared no pains to cater for their guests, and they are to be complimented on the success of their efforts. The music was supplied by Miss O’Reilly’s orchestra. A lavish supper was provided. The duties ot M.C.’s were carried out by the male members of the committee, and special praise is due to the joint hon. secretaries Miss J. Woods and Mr L. Lean for their splendid organisation.
