HOMELY HINTS
TO CLEAN FELT HATS Now that the Spring hats are making their yearly debut in the shop windows we will soon be putting away our winter felts. If they are well cleaned they will be quite fresh next winter for “second best.” The .following is a good method: —Take one large cup of flour and 1 2 teaspoons of benzine. Mix thoroughly till crumbly, as in pastry-making. Brush hat. then spread the mixture thoroughly all over it. but be careful not to rub it in too much. Place in sunshine to dry then brush vigorously with a stiff brush till flour is removed. It will then be free from dirt and grease spots. RUST MARKS. If your porcelain sink or bathtub gets a yellow mark from constant dripping of water, the spot will disappear immediately if rubbed with pumice stone.
