NEW ZEALAND V. GOULBURN. TOURISTS’ EASY WIN. Sydney, Aug. 9. At Goulfiurn, the New Zealand hockey team had a decisive win oyer Kenmore Hospital, the team winning by 10 goals to nil. The game was fast and open, the New Zealanders’ combination and stick work not giving the locals a chance. WEDNESDAY MATCH. KARORI v. UNITED. United winning the toss defended the western goal. From the bully, Karori at once took play into United’s circle, where Doree cleared with a beautiful drive and transferred play to mid-field, where play centred for some time. The Karori forwards now got into their stride and in a nice forward movement in which Grenside, Spence, and Kellett were seen to advantage, Karori notched their hist goal. United were now making great efforts to score, Pearson showing up in some good stick work, but failure on the part of his wmg man saw the ball go over the line. From now on until half-time United’s backs went to pieces and Karori scored four goals in quick succession. United added a goal just before halt-tune. On the changing over, Karori al once set up a determined attack, until Hunter cleared, and for a tune United looked like scoring but the defence proved too strong. It was not long before the Karori forwards were again in United’s circle and Schrodei scored from a nice passing rush. Karori now had matters much then own way, the United backs showing very poor defence and time and again failing to clear. Karori added two more goals before time and the game ended B—l in favour of the Reds. For Karori Grenside, Spence and French were the pick. I‘or United Pearson, Doree and Gallien played well. Messrs. Matthews and Thomas were the referees. RAMBLERS v. CAMBRIDGE. The above clubs met on Cornwall Park yesterday afternoon and again both teams took the field shorthanded- Notwithstanding, the game was very fast and open during the first spell and both sides worked hard to score. Half way through the spell Prioi and McNab got control of the ball with the result that Prior scored. Hayes missed an easy goal shortly after this and B. Grenside scored time and again. Ou the change over the game became very even but the combination of hockey was all missing and play ers seemed to lack their dash. From a hard hit from Russell’s stick Brown got control of the ball and took it right through from his own half and scored a very easy goal. The Blues again rallied but missed chance after chance in scoring and at the call of time the game ended in Ramblers' favour. Mr. Giles had sole control of the game.

For the winners Russell, McNab. Prior, Tritt, and Brown played well. For the losers Hayes, Flowers, B. Grenside and Scott were the pick.
