PALESTINIAN EMIGRANTS.
ROBBED AND THROWN OVERBOARD. (Received 11, 9.20 a.m.) ' London, Aug. 10. The British Consul has lodged a complaint that four Palestinians were not allowed to board a steamer for America. They accepted the offer of a compatriot to smuggle them aboard a tramp steamer for 40,000 france. Later they were robbed of all their money and told the ship was abreast of Buenos Ayres and thrown overboard after leaving Oran, in Algiers. They were rescued by fishermen and taken to Marseilles.—(A. and N.Z.)
