BRUTAL HUSBAND.
SENT TO PRISON FOR SIX MONTHS. Dunedin, Aug. 11. In the Police Court, John Edward Hynes, aged 33, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment for assaulting his wife. It was stated that his wife who is in hospital and unable to appear, had a broken nose, badly blackened eyes, and injuries to the lower part of her body whore she had been kicked. The accused had previously served three 'months for a similar offence.
