CHINESE SOCCER TOUR.
INTERNAL DISSENSIONS OVER FINANCIAL MATTERS. (Received 10. 12.15 p.m.) Sydney, Aug. 10. It would appear that the abrupt termination of the Chinese Soccer team’s tour was the outcome of internal dissensions in the team, presumably arising over financial matters. Several members refused to continue the campaign and this led to the abandonment of several important matches that were to have been played in Queensland whereby it was hoped to recoup some of the losses made in the other States.
The losses will fall heavily upon the joint managers, Professor Kwong and C Woo. who guaranteed the financing of the tour.
