PAKOWHAI SCHOOL BALL.

SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. The Pakowhai school ball was held in the school on Friday evening. The building was crowded to its utmost capacity, and proved th» need of a hall for holding such functions. A meting to consider ways and means of providing a hall is to be held in the school on Thursday evening, when it is hoped something definite will be done in the matter. The school committee is indebted to the ladies who worked so zealously to make the function a success. During the evening Mr Harpham ’chairman) thanked those who assisted in training the children, and Miss Howard for providing music. The following is a list of costumes worn:—
