Dissolution of Parliament. ELECTIONS IN OCTOBER. FORMATION OF NEW PARTY. [By Cable —Press Assn.— Copyright.) (Received 9, 10.43 a.m.) Sydney, Aug. 9. Mr Lang lias announced that the dissolution of Parliament will lake place on September 7. Polling day will be October 8, and the new Parliament will probably meet on November 1. Definite steps towards the formation of a new party composed of members of the Parliamentary Labour party who failed to secure selection has been taken, though no finalitywill be reached until next week when a short, sharp campaign against the supporters of -Mr Lang will be instituted. At least 12 scats will be contested.
