TAKAPAU.
(Own Correspondent.) Mrs Sydney Johnston, with accustomed generosity, has donated a section in Takapau as a site for a mothers’ rest and Plunket rooms. Several efforts are to lie out forward to establish a fund for the erection of the building, and the first of these is a concert to be-held in the Town Hall on Friday, 19th inst. The programme will be contributed bv Dannevirke artists and the concert is sure to have wide and hearty support. The basketball match between the Takapau and Waipukurau High School girls, which was played on Saturday, resulted in a win for Takitpau by two points.
