RE UNEMPLOYED SINGLE MEN.

(To the Editor). Sir,—Do the citizens of Hastings realise the necessity of providing work for the single man who at present can starve? A married man can get relief for himself and family, a single man can go on the swag, in fact go to the devil for what most people care. These young men are just what axe required for the Communist movement who would be used as pawns in the attempt at the overthrow of civilisation, as in the larger cities of the world. A hungry man cannot and will not see reason. Hurry up and help them. Show them that they are an essential part of the community, and as heroes, if necessary. if wars are not abolished. Y*ours, etc., SINGLE WITH PROSPECTS OF STARVATION. Hastings, 12/7/27.
