PROPELLOR BLADE LOST.

MISHAP TO CANADIAN LINER. Auckland, July 11. When bucking into a heavy westerly sea yesterday morning, the cargo steamer Canadian Seigneur, which arrived at Auckland from Montreal this morning, lost a blade of her propeller. Spare blades are carried on board, and it is expected that repairs will be effected before the steamer sails for the south to unload the balance of her general cargo. As the ship is not loaded to her maximum capacity it is not, anticipated that there will he any difficulty in raising the propeller above the surface of the water bv simply emptying the ballast tanks in the after part of the ship and tilling those forward to capacity. If the propeller could not be got at in this way it would be necessary for the steamer to go into dock.
