VALEDICTORY.

REV. D. GARDNER MILLER. The Rev. D. Gardner Miller, Congregational minister, left Napier this morning for Christchurch where he will assume charge of the Trinity Congregational Church. A farewo’l social was tendered to him in the Napier Congregational Sunday School room last evening, when there was a large attendance of the church members and friends, presided over by Mr. Ball. A most entertaining programme of music, songs and recitations was contributed by various performers and after a dainty supper had been served, the evening concluded with the singing of ‘‘Auld Lang Syne.”
