NINE MONTHS’ FIGURES. The fact that during the nine months ended September, 1925, there were nearly three times as many births as deaths, is revealed in the latest monthly Abstract of Statistics. The comparative figures are as follows : — BIRTHS.
Sept., 1925 . 10,934 10,262 21,196 For accurate comparative purposes, the figures for the nine months in 1924 were: 10,670 males. 10.161 females, making a total of 20,831 births for that period. DEATHS.
9 months ending Sep. 1925 4631 3627 8,258 667 The figures for the nine months in 1924 were 4560. 3430, 7990 and 645.
