SHOCK FOR THE CUSTOMS. Adelaide, Dec. 15. A glaring case of what is alleged to Tie attempted smuggling was discovered when a passenger and his wife left the steamer Ormuz. The man was wearing Oxford bags, and a Customs official, noticing a fringe of silk protruding above one boot became suspicious, and searched th© man. He found silk Spanish shawls wound around the passenger’s legsThe man’s wife was then searched, and more shawls, and a length of marocain wound round the woman’s body were found.
