NO STRIKE.
CHRISTCHURCH TRAMWAYMEN’B BALLOT. Christchurch, Dec. 29. The trams will be running on New Year’s Day, an overwhelming majority of employees having voted against a strike. It is stated that the knowledge that the board has a waiting list of about 30 men desirous of joining the service had a steadying effect.
