STATE INSURANCE.
EXTENSION OF BRITISH SCHEME.

Fifteen million ’employers and workers will become on January 3 compulsory contributors to widows’, orphans’, and old age pensions under an Act which emanated from the last Budget, involving a 14 per cent, increase in ciutributions to the state insurance scheme in order to enable the payment of greater benefits.—(Sydney “Sun” cable).
