PROHIBITION ENFORCEMENT.
FUNDS FOR EVIDENCE. Washington, Doc. 22. The House of Representatives on Tuesday defeated by 139 votes to 17 a proposal to amend the Appropriation Bill Amendment, which would have prohibited resort to “fraud, deceit and falsehood” in the use of any of the 250,000 dollars set aside for buying liquor as evidence in prohibition enforcement cases.—(Reuter.)
