CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS TREE.
The Hastings Lodge of Oddfellows, Manchester Unity, held their annual Christmas tree, for the entertainment of the children at the Oddfellows’ Hal! last evening. X.G. Siste? Al. J. Stanley presided over the proceedings and over 500 children sat down to tea. At 7J‘>o p.m. Father Christmas arrived in full regalia in a motor car and h,j was played into the building, with great ccreinony. by a piper in kilts. Taking his seat in “Tho Magic Cave,” all thu children passed through, each receiving a gift and they spent a happy timeromping and playing to their hearts’ content, under the supervision of Bros. T Keith and G. Love and other brothern of the Order. The catering was under the supervision of Airs T. Keith. and tho social and games weie in the hands of N.O. Sister Al. ,T. Stanley, Atesdames T. Keith. P. George. 11. '.Macdonald, Henry-, Sisters G. J. Stanley and Lee, and Miss AlcKonzio. Everything went as merry as marriage bolls until 10 o’clock, when a delightful evening came to a close, with addresses from Air G. McKay nn<] Fath*
