ELLERSLIE TRACK NOTES. (Frpm the “Star.”) The outside of the course proper was open at Ellerslie on Saturday morning for fast work, and it was in good order. —Uralla and Pelham ran five furlongs in 1.7 1-5. Commendation easily beat Cherry Girl over five furlongs from the old post in 1.6 .1-s.—Surveyor was just slightly ahead of Royal Form at the end of seven furlongs, which took 1.35 4-s.—Musketoon, Gala Day? Muraahi, and Polonett set out over a mile and ahalf Gaia Day got away in front of the others, but Musketoon was well ahead of Gala Day at the finish, with Muraahi next, and Polonett last. The times taken from Gala Day at the start till Musketoon finished was 2.46 3-5, Musketoon running the distance in 2.45. The last round was accomplished, in 2.5.— Star Ranger was six lengths in .front of Kamehamena over a mile and a quarter, the last ‘rouncP taking 2.6.—Broadwood ami Namuterc covered live furlongs in 1.6 2-5.—Tactician finished in front of Merry Damon over five furlongs in 1.6 4-s.—Royal Tea and Threadneedle were together in front of Ngawati over half a mile in 50 3-ss. Threadneedle went nicely.—Arch Arnie and Automnc were on teuns at the end of six furlongs in 1.22, Automnc appearing to be going the better at the finish.—Archeno and Prince Abbey started off at the six furlong post, and .Exactly hopped away in front of them just as they reached the five, Exactly finishing in front, the other pair running 1.20 1-s.—Master Doon was slightly in front of Cawnpore over four furlongs in 51 3-ss.—Lomint and Nucleus ran seven furlongs in 1.35, Elmestra and Clarus getting to the end of five in 1.(5 1-5.—Hard Prince and Miss Melva, separately, went over lour hurdles, both jumping well. Kendal, Bright Light and Tinokaha set out over six hurdles, Bahadur joining in over the last four. Kendal pulled up at the fifth owing to his rider losing an iron. Bahadur and Bright Light finished in front of Tinokaha.
