A BIGAMIST.
WIDOW’S STORY OF DECEPTION, j Auckland, Des. 21. Albert George Marshall, aged 60, who caused a sensation in Newmarket uy holding up the manager of the .:.a\ings Bank with a revolver. was charged in the Police Court to-day with bigamy, and pleaded guilty. He was charged that having married Isabella Hatcher, at Auckland, on March 30, 1916,’ he did go through a form of marriage on June 22, 1925 a with a widow, whose name Mr. J. W. Poynton, S.M., ordered to be suppressed. Marshall was committed for sentence. Ihe widow stated that the accused told her he was a widower and had a larm at Henderson. She separated ironi him two months after the marriage. The accused talked about revolvers and frightened her. One day she found m a bag beside the bed a revolver loaded in all chambers but one. Marshall is now in custody on -lie hold-up charge. He will appear at the Supreme Court this week for sentence.
