BRITISH BOWLERS.
ARRIVAL AT AUCKLAND
Auckland, Dec. 21
The British bowlers arrived from Sydney by the Aorangi last night and were accorded a civic reception at the Town Hall at noon. They will play their first game at Devonport this afternoon against a number of the Auckland Club. . Mr. Wake, manager of the British bowlers said the team had a wonderful time in Australia, where the hospitalitv far exceeded their greatest expectations. The greens were surprisingly good. The team was a good one. but not fairly representative of the bowling strength of the United Kingdom. If they had waited to get the best team they would never have loft England.
