HASTINGS CITIZENS’ BAND.
SUNDAY NIGHT CONCERT. The Hastings Citizens’ Band will give another of their popular recitals in Queen’s Square. Hastings, on Sunday evening at 8.15 p.m., when a large crowd is anticipated. The programme on this occasion has been well chosen, and between the items the hymns “Come All Ye Faithful,” “Abide With Me,” and “Nearer Mv God to Thee” will be rendered. In response to numerous requests the band will play once again the popular “Whistler and His Dog.” On Sunday evening a new addition to the ranks of the band will be a monster double bass, which is the only one in New Zealand at the present time. The band has now reached a nigh standard of efficiency, and no doubt there will, as at previous concerts, be a large attendance.
