TAKAPAU.
A meeting of the directors of the Takapau Caledonian Society was held on Tuesday evening for the purpose j of getting out a programme of events 1 for the annual sports to he held on j Wednesday, February 24th. Air. H. I A. Speedy occupied the chain-, anti there was a fair attendance. Two ■ juvenile dancing events were added to | the programme. Judges and stewards 1 were appointed and general arrange- J nients were made for the running of i the sports. 'l’lie monthly meeting of the Takapau branch of the Hawke’s Bay War Relief I Association was held on Monday evening, Air. E. F. Stubbs presiding. The ; usual branch business was transacted. Miss Hunt, daughter of the Rev. A. i E. Hunt, of Takapau. who was injured 1 in a motor accident in September, and ‘ has since then been in the Waipukurau I Hospital .has returned to Takapau.
