McCONACHY BEATS FALKINER. Wellington, July 20. The billiards match of 18,(M)0 up was won by McConachy by 414 points. Both he and Falkiner were in good form on Saturday afternoon when the best breaks were: McConachy 131, 249, and 116; Falkiner 291 and 341, the totals at the end of the session being: McConachy 17,267, Falkiner 16,789. There was a large attendance at the final session, which yielded interesting play, though both men seemed to find difficulties at times. Falkiner made the best break of 453. and passed McConachy at 17.305, but was unable to maintain his lead. The New Zealander pulled up th© leeway and ran out when Falkiner wa s 17,586. McConachy’s best breaks were 295, 289 and 106 (unfinished). and Falkiner’s 133, 153 and 197.
