Mr. and Mrs A. Carncross left Hastings this morning for New Plymouth, where they resume residence. A cable from Capetown received last night reports the death of the Hon. Joseph Baynes, C.M.G.. of Pieterniantzberg, Natal. Tho Rev. Eccles McCutcheon, and Miss P. McCutcheon, of Tauranga. are spending a few weeks’ holiday with Mrs O. McCutcheon, of Pakowhai. The Hon. G. The funeral took place this afternoon at the Hastings Cemetery, where her husband is buried. Rev. Canon Maclean officiated at the graveside.
