MEAT TRADE.

SHARP RISE IN ARGENTINE PRICES. CONFLICT OF INTERESTS. (Received 4, 10.5 a.m.) London, Afay 3. The directors of the English and Dutch Meat Company, referring to the sharp fall in tho company’s shares and debentures, explain that the conflict among leading interests in the meat trade has caused such a rise in Argentine cattle that it is impossible to ship Argentine meat to Europe without con-' siderablo loss. The company was not participating in tho conflict and was reducing shipments to a minimum, but it would resume as soon as conditions were normal, which could not be long delayed. —(Sydney “Sun" cable.)
