Unusual interest attaches to the great Basuto pitso, or national assembly whlcD was opened to-day at Maseru by the Governor-General, the Earl of Athlon e. Over 30,0U0 natives are present, many having ridden miles over hills. Thu is said to be the biggest pitso on )ro* ccrd. In Basutoland, under Imperial rule, no European is allowed to own kind in the country, which is also undei stricter Prohibition regulations than America. —(‘ ‘ Argus.”)
