COSY DE LUXE. An uproarious mirthful comedy of a trio of unmanageaole kids with no one to manage them, is the theme oi “I'he Country Kid," Warner Brothers screen classic, winch will he presented this evening at the Cosy iheatre, as the main feature. The cast consists of Wesley Barry, "Spec” O'Donnell, the now freckled face screen prodigy, Kate Toncray, Beien Jerome Eddy, George Nichols, Edward Burns and George C. Pearce. The story hinges upon their riotous antics and accidents left alone in a big farm with doses of castor oil as penance for their carelessness, and specifically to their plot of their cruel guardian uncle to send them off to an orphanage, so that he might buy their farm at a song. "The World’s a Stage,” a story from the pen of Elinor Glynn, will he shown in support, and the orchestra will play the brightest of music. MUNICIPAL. A big special production titled “Rosita,” starring Mary Pickford, will be presented this evening at the Hastings Municipal Theatre. The vital force which Miss Pickford, as Rosita, brings to hear on the King to spare Don Diego’s life, the patient suffering of her plea to this monarch, drunk with power and infatuation, comprises one of the most stirringly dramatic scenes of intense emotionalism any person might wish. Here it is that Misg Pickford ascends to new and greater heights of. cinema artistry; here this foremost star comes into her rightful heritage as a portrayer of glorious, vital, alluring womanhood—not a new Mary Pickford, but a grown-up Mary Pickford presenting a new phase of personality and artistry which the public is sure to love as they loved her little girl characterisations. The “New Leather Pushers,” a further chapter of the serial and gazette will also be shown.
