TWO-YEAR-OLD PARADE.
AT ELLERSLIE TO-DAY. Auckland, Sept. 10. For the two-year-old parade over three furlongs at Ellerslie this morning there was fine weather and a large attendance. Results :— First division: Hon. E. W. Allison’s b c by Ciceroi—Elsie Hart, 1; Mr J. O. Gleeson’s Gold Acre, by Linacre — Aureity, 2; Mr J. Patterson’s b g by Romeo —Cadence, 3. Seven started. Won by four lengths, a head separating second and third. Time, 39 3-5 secs.
Second division:—Mr H. Friedland, er’s Ballymay, by Sonning—Ballykill, 1; Hon. E. W. Allison’s b g by Flying King—Vanga, 2; Air C. G. Macindoe’s b g Trillion—Pretty Nell, 3. Seven started. Won by a head, three lengths separating second and third. Time, 39 2-ssecs. Ballymay foaled to English time, and is now classed as a three-year-old. Third division:—Master Alind, by Lucullus—Ovon Park, 1; Samson, by Absurd—Maira Alachree, 2; Piet, by Magpie—Mystic Light, 3. Six started. Won by two lengths, three lengths separating second and third. Timo, 40 4-ssecs. WANGANUI TRACK WORK. Wanganui, Sept. 10. The weather was line for the final gallops. Before breakfast Alotley and Deluge, separately, did threequarter pace .work, the former moving well. Barn Owl finished in front of Winning Hit over six furlongs done in 1.18. Inferno beat Shining Armour over five furlongs in 1.5. Enthusiasm did the same distance in 1.7, and Irapuka the same in 1.4 ,2-5. L’Amour went over a miles, taking 1.49 3-5. After breakfast Ruby King and Brigadier left five furlongs behind in 1.4 1-5. Gaillard beat Avola over four furlongs in 49 2-5. Black Cruiser and Velociform went six furlongs, taking 1.18 2-5. |Tewa beat Kuhio over a similar distance in J.lB. Argent beat Bank Draft over three furlongs in 33 sees. Comical finished in front of Diamond Ring at the end of half a mile, which took 50 2-5 secs.
