DOMINION BOWLING ASSOCIATION
MEETING AT WELLINGTON. Wellington, Sept. 10. The annual meeting of the v Dominion Bowling Association’s Council was held tc-day, Mr T. Meadowcroft presiding. The report showed .that there were IS centres, the clubs totalling 272 and the players 14,577. The Rev Shallcress was elected secretary. Marlborough was empowered to form a new centre.
Tauranga’s request for affiliation to the Auckland Centre was granted. Rule six, section one, was altered to read:—“A bowl which in its original course comes to rest .less than 20 feet from the front edge of the mat shall be dead. ’ , The foot-on-the-end-mat rule was altered to read: “One foot on the mat and wholly within the boundaries of the mat. ’ ’
It was decided that the minimum size of mat be thirty six inches by fifteen.
It was decided that singles, pairs and rinks be played at the annual tournament, the singles to be played during the first three days, and pairs on the following three days.
