The success of the meeting called for to morrow night to form a Military Band for the 70th Mounted Rifles is practically assured, as over thirty np ■ plications from experienced instrumentalists, and several wishing to Icaru have been received. Tho instrumentation of the band will be the same as the Royal Artillery Band, which came out to New Zealand a few years ago. .Any players wishing to take an instrument are invited to attend the preliminary .meeting, which is to bo held in the Drill Hall to morrow night .at 7.30. ““ ARE YOUR BRAKES GOOD?
