line weather greeted the concluding day ©I the Ram Fair, when the continuation of the Romney flock rams, one (iind two shear (952) was ed with, after which various other breeds were offered lor sale. At 2 p.m. all breeds of stud rams were put up for auction. The pricey obtained at to-day’s sale for Romneys showed a decided drop on yesterday’s figures, the highest obtinned up to 11 a.m. being lO| guinea*, which was paid by M. D Speedy of VVaipawa. Many good lines were passed in as high as 9gns, the prices off ered not being up to the owm r’s expectation. Lincolns were in very poor demand, prices ranging from ligns, 4|ftna up’ to the highest figure, paid by M. McNutt, Wanstead for a line of 6 shearlings. Ryelands were not largely represented but there was a fair demand at figures ranging from 3 to 61 guineas. Border Leicesters wer© considerably neglected and most of the lines were passed in, th© highest price realised under th© hammer being 6 guinea.. English leicesters were not in demand, only two lots being quitted and tthe Corriedales consisted of only three consignments, all of winch were sold, th© highest guineas. WILILAMS AND KETTLE.
