CAIRO MURDER PLOT.

THREE CONSPIRATORS EXECUTED. Cairo, September 10. Three condemned conspirators have been executed.—(A. and N.Z.) Earlier in the year fifteen Egyptians were placed on trial at Cairo ior conspiracy to murder British officials, hi July five, including Nazir, were sentenced to death and three to terms of imprisonment, th© rest being acquitted. The prosecution detailed which commenced in the spring of 1919, when a young Egyptian, aged 18, met Sheikh Shanfei el Ranna, who suggested that the youth should join a gang for murdering Englishmen. The youth agreed and asked a friend named Nazir, who is one of the accused, also to join the gang. Later the youths found Sheikh was co-operating with Fahmy, who was convicted in the vengeance case in 1920. and condemned to a long term of imprisonment. Meanwhile a man named Mohammed Amin joined the murder gang. Oil May 8. 1919. a bomb was thrown at Darwish Pasha. A lew hours later Mohammed Amin was found with wounds in his hands and arm, apparently from the explosion. By 1921 the organisation was known as the Black Hand or Black Revolver Society. Nazir, on February 17, boasted that an Englishman would be killed. On the following day Nazir was seen near the Ministry of Education, and a lew minutes later Mr. Alfred Brown was killed with a revolver. Nazir later boasted that he and a man named Tewfik shot Brown. The gang later planned to murder Mr Anderson, Oriental Secretary to the Residency, but the scheme miscarried. This was on April 1G 1922. Nazir and Tewfik succeeded in shooting two British corporals at the Cairo station on May 24. and after the murder Nazir boasted that he murdered Bimbassi Gave,
