THE BRITISH NOTE. JJAVOURABLEREPLY FROM ITALY. London, Aug. 6. A Rome message states that the Italian replv to. the British note approves of tne proposal**, but considers the suggestions made in Signor Mussolini’s memorandum in December and elaborated by him at the Paris and London conferences constitute a more promising basis for effecting a solution of the debts and reparations problems. Italy accepts the proposal for a commission of experts and condemns German passive resistance in the Ruhr. — (A. and N.Z.) JAPAN IN AGREEMENT. London, Aug. 6. Baron Hayashi visited the Foreign Office and expressed Japan’s general agreement with Britain regarding reparations. A written answer is to be forwarded later. —(A. and N.Z.)
