A £lOOO PRIZE.
(Received 8, 12.45 p.m.) London, Aug. 7. Sullivan covered the first five miles in three hours, encouraged by relays of swimmers. Mrs. Corson abandoned her swim two miles off Sangatte, after 12J hours. She was much knocked about by the broken sea. Michel, a Frenchman, has started from Boulogne in an attempt to beat Sullivan’s time.
