NEW SOUTH WALES POLITICS.
OPENING OF PARLIAMENT. Sydney, Aug. 7. The New South Wales Parliament opened with the usual pageantry. The Governor’s Speech, after outlining legislation already forecasted, stated that arrangements had been made with the Imperial Government (for the migration of 6000 new settlers, who, wherever necessary, will receive the requisite farming instruction under Government auspices. The reform of the Upper House, and a Bill safeguarding from allegation of invalidity marriages made pursuant to the laws of the State are also forecasted. Apart from these no important new legislation is outlined. ADDRESS-IN-REPLY (Received 8, 11.35 a.m.) Sydney, Aug. 8. The Assembly discussed the Address-in-Reply and adjourned till the following day.
