INEFFICIENT WEATHER REPORTS
(Received 28, 12.15 p.m.) Melbourne. September 28. The Commonwealth Meteorologist, addressing members of the Rotary Gluk complained of the dangerously restricted weather reports. In consequence of lack of information re river gaugings twelve people were nearly drowned in last year’s floods. The weather bureau had reduced the loss of life to a minimum in the pearling fleet at Broome by supplying available information.—-(A. and N.Z.)
