THE PACIFIC CABLE.
DUPLIGATION ABANDONED. 26. J .20 p.m.) London, September 25. It is understood the Pacific Cable Board, on the recommendation of Australian representatives, overruled Mr. John Milward’s decision regarding duplication of the Brisbane-Vancouver section, in view of the wireless agreement, the development ot which is considered likely to prevent the duplication becoming a commercial proposition. The Board decided to proceed only as far as laying the cable from Brisbane to Sydney, and from Auckland to Fiji. - (A. and X.Z.)
