POSITION OF MR. W. H. MORTON. Tn committee on Monday night the Wellington City Council came to a decision respecting the reorganisaaon of the city engineer s start with a view to strengthening the department. I was decided to advertise for applicants for the position of outdoor superintendent of works at a salary of £450 per annum and overseer engineer and chiei draughtsman at a salary of £4oo. Mr. Patterson will be assistant engineer indoors, relieving Mr. W. H. Morton (citv engineer), and districts will be allocated to Messrs. Brigham and Fox, engineer.
